Senior Corporate Accountant

Kforce has a client in Reading, Massachusetts (MA) looking for a new Senior Corporate Accountant to join their Finance Department. As a Senior Accountant, you will report directly to the Head of Accounting and will lead major monthly consolidation and reconciliation duties as well as assist with annual financial audit process. A successful candidate will be an accounting professional with inherent leadership qualities, attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas and hold basic knowledge of International consolidation. Responsibilities include:
Prepare financial statements in accordance with our established schedule
Prepare monthly elimination entries and consolidations with all subsidiaries
Prepare monthly consolidation corporate financial package
Assist with special projects related to statutory reporting, audit, tax, etc.
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Head of Accounting's attention
Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
BS or equivalent in Accounting
6 years of related experience with strong technical skills including knowledge of GAAP
Knowledge of consolidation practices with multiple sites
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Strong verbal and written skills along with solid interpersonal skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
