KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a large manufacturing client who is searching for a Controller. The ideal candidate will have a mix of public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 or large regional firm, and experience in a mid to large size publicly traded company.
The candidate must be a roll up the sleeves team player who has excellent leadership abilities, solid communication skills and is capable of partnering with business unit management staff to meet objectives.
The position will be responsible for the following:
Annual budget preparation and strategic planning / forecasting
Month end close / general ledger accounting
Analysis of Gross Margin and Pricing Proposals
Solid understanding, working knowledge of internal controls, GAAP and Cost Accounting
Maintaining internal controls
Supervision of a staff up to seven
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA/MBA preferred
Minimum of ten years' experience, both in public accounting and in the accounting department of a mid to large size manufacturing company
Strong background in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
