Robotics Test Development Engineer

MiR AMRs offer efficient, flexible, autonomous material delivery that increase productivity across a range of industries from manufacturing to warehousing and distribution centers.
We are seeking a Robotics Test Development Engineer to work in our New Production Introduction environment to develop Production Test Strategies and procedures for Autonomous Mobile Robot Systems.
This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days required in our Wilmington / North Reading facilities.

Responsibilities:
Participate in early schematic design reviews, electrical hardware design reviews, and product specification reviews, all used as inputs to assist in creation of manufacturing test strategies for new and existing products.
Strategies developed include all phases of the manufacturing test flow, from in-circuit test and PCBA level functional testing to system configuration, extended burn in test requirements, and final product testing.
Specific attention will be required in the area of sensor performance verification.
Upon completion, strategy documents will serve as building blocks for detailed test procedure documents required for each step in the test process.
Detailed function test procedure documents include equipment required, detailed set-up instructions for equipment and training material.
In order to complete transition from New Product Introduction phase to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), candidate must develop training plans, including theory of test documents, and specific training on any electronic test equipment required as part of release.
In addition to a focus on hardware verifications, the candidate will also need to become a subject matter expert in the software configuration, calibration and datalogging systems employed in the designs.
Candidate must ensure that product goals of yield, test time, and mean time to repair all come in on target.
Use various internal and 3rd party data analysis software packages to perform analysis on Robot Test Data.
Requirements:
Must have two +years of relevant experience Experience testing and debugging Autonomous Mobil Robots using ROS (Robot Operating System) libraries is a strong plus Ability to use statistical process control (SPC) data analysis to prove stability of electro-mechanical systems.
Experience troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies to component level.
Ability to implement DFx principles in a new products introduction (NPI) organization.
Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electromechanical, or Robotics Engineering) or relevant work experience#LI-SMTER Recommended Skills Assembly And Installation Calibration Computer Engineering Data Analysis Debugging Electronic Test Equipment Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
