Teradyne has an immediate need for an EMC Test Engineer at our Corporate offices located in North Reading MA.
ResponsibilitiesoOn-site Support of System Engineer(s) to drive overall EMC/EMI compliance within and across engineering teams.
oInterface with certification suppliers, competent bodies, & test labs as needed and drive all product EMC testing requirements.
oEnsure compliance to all appropriate EMC/EMI regulations and standards.
oIntegrate into engineering teams at all Teradyne sites.
Develop relationships with technical leads and engineering managers across sites and platforms.
oActively participate in the product development process by performing EMC design reviews in all phases from concept to product release.
oPrepare test plans and assist with setting systems up for testing in the on-site semi-anechoic chamber and/or at other Teradyne or third party test sites.
oEnsure continuing compliance on projects assigned by maintaining Test Reports and by performing/contracting in house testing to support EMC affecting design changes.
oAbility to support and maintain Teradyne Product EMC Certification to current requirements by performing EMC testing and revising and maintaining Technical Construction Files (TCF).
oOperate and maintain laboratory equipment for the purposes of conducting EMC testing on DC/single-phase/3-phase products.
oPerform Radiated Emissions, Conducted Emissions, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Radiated Field Immunity, Electrical Fast-Transients, Surge, Conducted Immunity, Magnetic Field Immunity, Voltage Dips and Interrupts and Flicker and Harmonics testing.
oDevelop, maintain, and manage lab facilities and equipment calibration.
oTroubleshoot test failures and recommend design changes as appropriate.
oHelp maintain a clean, well-organized test lab environment.
Basic Qualifications & Skillso5 years plus EMC test experience.
oSolid understanding of ESD and EMC performance at the subassembly and system level.
oNeeds to possess outstanding English communication ability (written, verbal, & presentation), team skills, and show a history of driving & closing actions.
oMust have good knowledge of EMC Standards such as IEC 61326-1 or equivalentoWorking knowledge of ATE (or highly integrated electrical equipment).
oMust possess an ability to summarize actions and learnings into an output for updating recommended practices related to compliance.
oUnderstanding of the role of an engineering support group and the accountability to drive issues and resolve problems.
oStrong basic computer and EMC lab equipment and report writing skills oHands-on ability to perform EMC testing, and willingness to learn product safety testing practices.
oAbility to troubleshoot EMC test failures and diagnose and recommend design improvements.
oMust possess the ability to summarize test results, concisely communicate status of testing and prepare formal test reports.
oExperience working in an ISO 17025 environment a plus.
EducationBachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Physics; OR equivalent combined experience and education, which would include an Associates Degree or technical school certification or related military training in electronics.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
